This valuable resource is the product of a partnership between APHON and the Children's Oncology Group Nursing Discipline and provides important information for pediatric hematology/oncology nurses who are caring for critically and terminally ill children.  Palliative care begins at the time of cancer diagnosis and continues through the illness trajectory.  When children are not expected to survive their disease, palliative care continues through the dying process and the bereavement period, according to the authors.
